We are proud of having organised successful events for more than 4.000 guests. Our wide range of services have been created to live up even to the highest expectations of our clients and are tailor-made according to the needs of the actual occasion, whether being rather informal gatherings, such as business lunches and dinners; representative or protocol events or banquets and formal celebrations like receptions and gala dinners.
The Academic Club and Restaurant – called by the accommodation, style and feeling Club – is located in the Danube riverside wing of the main -building of the Hungarian Academy of Science at the Széchenyi Square. Elementary aim of the Club is to ensure a unique, high-level surrounding to the meetings of the determinative managers and specialist of the Hungarian scientific and economic life with each other. On behalf of this perhaps the most beautiful restaurant, club and programme-site was established in the year 1998 on the basis of the plans of Josef Finta, in connection to the architectural reconstruction of the main building of the Academy.
Our spectacular venue offers the divine panorama of the world-famous landmarks of Budapest, in the evenings our guests are delighted by the breathtaking views of the illuminated Chain Bridge, the Castle of Buda, the Matthias Church and the River Danube when looking out of the windows.
The tarnished surrounding established in the imposing main building, the numerous advantages given by the “white tablecloth” makes the Academic Club and Restaurant an ideal site for events, meetings and appointments. In our programmes we aspire passionately to the perfect consonance of the details. Our mission is to accomplish our duties in accordance with the spirit of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences paying attention to preserve the beauty and the quality conditions of the venue with mutual respect to those working in the building.
